Planned Parenthood Unable To Account For Over $1 Billion In Taxpayer Funding

Planned Parenthood does not have a good track record at all and it just got worse. $1.3 billion worse. The organization that deliberately covers up cases of statutory rape is now under scrutiny for losing $1.3 billion in taxpayer dollars.

Planned Parenthood had been the recipient of over $2 billion from the Federal Government, but an audit by the General Accounting Office can only account for a little over $6 million of that. Where did the rest of the money go?

A new report from the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) on federal tax money funneled into Planned Parenthood and similar organizations raises more questions than it answers about the nation’s largest abortion chain. Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s (PPFA) audits show the organization spent just $657.1 million between 2002 and 2008 from federal government grants and programs, but the abortion behemoth’s own annual reports show that it took in $2.3 billion from government grants and programs during the same time period. That’s not pocket change. Why the discrepancy?

Yes. That is a good question, one that the CEO of PP should be made to answer, preferably in front of a Congressional panel with the C-SPAN cameras running.

Someone, then, needs to explain to all those people why $2.3 billion in tax dollars have been doled out to an organization that admits to systematically having killed more than 1.8 million pre-born babies between 2002 and 2008 and then reports it only spent $657.1 million in federal dollars. Has Planned Parenthood managed to tuck away megamillions of our tax dollars, seemingly unnoticed? Or is that much of its government funding coming from sources other than the federal government? Or is there a problem with the way Planned Parenthood is reporting its expenditure of our federal monies? In just two weeks, Planned Parenthood will complete its 2009-10 fiscal year. Yet it still has not released its annual report for its 2008-09 fiscal year. In light of the discrepancy revealed in this GAO report, we must ask: What is Planned Parenthood trying to keep secret?

And as a futher question, we must ask why the leftists and other pro-abortion people are so silent on this issue. After all, if a pro-life group suddenly couldn’t account for $1.3 billion in taxpayer funds, the pro-abortion lobby would be demanding someone’s head on a platter.

Lila Rose, leader of the Mona Lisa Project, released another video of another Planned Parenthood clinic breaking the law and hiding the sexual abuse of a 15-year-old. This time is happened in Tucson, Arizona. The first two videos were shot in Indianapolis, Indiana.

In the video, UCLA student Lila Rose and her friend Jackie Stollar enter a Tucson Planned Parenthood clinic where Rose tells the nurse that Stollar, posing as a 15-year-old, is pregnant by her 27-year-old boyfriend. The nurse disregards the age difference and even cautions Stollar not to bring her “boyfriend” before the judicial hearing required in Arizona to waive parental consent for an abortion. This negligence is punishable under Arizona law.

Why would Arizona consider this “negligence?” Read on:

This is not the first time Planned Parenthood of Arizona has failed to report sexual abuse. In 2002, an Arizona judge found the abortion provider negligent for failing to report the sexual abuse of a 13-year-old girl by her 23-year-old foster brother, who brought her to a Phoenix-area clinic for an abortion in 1998. After Planned Parenthood kept silent about the abuse, the sexual relationship continued and led to a second abortion six months later. … “Our footage gives the Arizona public and law enforcement a rare window into Planned Parenthood’s careless abortion-first ideology,” Rose stated. “With abortion as their first and only solution for the abused victim, Planned Parenthood assists sexual predators by violating the very Arizona state laws that protect children.”

How sick does an organization have to be that it lets child molesters go to molest again?

Planned Parenthood CEO Makes $1 Million Per Year

Our socialist president and his socialist allies in Congress have adopted the Marxist policiy of limiting how much money the CEOs of banks that receive Federal money can make per year. But, it shows that they have a double-standard when it comes to their political allies.

Corporate America has one set of very high standards applied (Like the bank CEOs) but anyone who espouses the leftist ideology of Barack Obama or Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid gets a much lower set of standards.

For example, Planned Parenthood, the abortion mill outfit that seeks to hide the rapes of 13-year-old girls, gets federal money just like the banking industry. But, the CEO of PP gets to make $1 million per year and has no limits put on his compensation.

Readers may be surprised to learn that Planned Parenthood nationally has plenty of money and taxpayers are contributing a large part of it. According to its own 2006-07 annual report, Planned Parenthood took in more than a billion dollars, and boasted a surplus of $80 million. Why pay more of our own money for practices that don’t work and some of which involve what most Americans consider to be immoral?

If PP gets one-third of their fundng from American tax dollars, shouldn’t their executives face the same compensations limits that are being applied to others that receive federal monies? That would be a fair application of a standard.

Once again, we can see exactly how hypocritical the Democrats are. One set of low standards for themselves and their allies, one set of very high standards for the rest of us.

Nancy Pelosi Takes A Page From Nazi Propaganda: Wants To Reduce Costs Through Contraception

The white-supremicist Margaret Sanger (founder of Planned Parenthood) would be so proud of Nancy Pelosi! Pelosi invokes “reduced costs to the states” as a reason for spending millions on birth control. (Never mind the fact that birth control is already inexpensively available at any corner drug store and taught about in public school sex-ed classes.) Exactly who is Pelosi targetting with her statements?

Well, basically, she was saying that fewer children meant more resources for everyone else!

Here is what she said on This Week with George Stephanopoulos:

STEPHANOPOULOS: Hundreds of millions of dollars to expand family planning services. How is that stimulus? PELOSI: Well, the family planning services reduce cost. They reduce cost. The states are in terrible fiscal budget crises now and part of what we do for children’s health, education and some of those elements are to help the states meet their financial needs. One of those – one of the initiatives you mentioned, the contraception, will reduce costs to the states and to the federal government. STEPHANOPOULOS: So no apologies for that? PELOSI: No apologies. No. we have to deal with the consequences of the downturn in our economy.

You know, certain people throughout history made similar statements about such things. Here is one:

Goebbels certainly wanted to “reduce costs to the state” with his statement.

Others in the Nazi hierarchy went even further. Fritz Bernotat believed in the indiscriminate killing of “useless eaters.”

The above may be in the extreme, but Pelosi has certainly taken a step in that direction. I wonder whom Pelosi would think the “uselss eaters” would be? Which children does she believe are being born to the “wrong people?”

Pelosi’s quotes are a step in a direction that a certain government in Central Europe took back in the 1930′s. The journey that government undertook did not end well for the world.

James Pethokoukis, in a blog entry for U.S. News and World Report, excerpts the book Empty Cradle by Phil Longman. Here is the quote:

Population aging also depresses the growth of government revenues. Population growth is a major source of economic growth: more people create more demand for the products capitalists sell, and more supply of the labor capitalists buy. Economists may be able to construct models of how economies could grow amid a shrinking population, but in the real world, it has never happened. A nation’s GDP is literally the sum of its labor force times average output per worker. Thus a decline in the number of workers implies a decline in an economy’s growth potential. When the size of the work force falls, economic growth can occur only if productivity increases enough to compensate.

I thought the Democrats believed that our children were our greatest long-term investment. Apparently, only certain children are worthy of that investment and the potential parents of the others should simply relinquish their reproductive rights.

Obama’s Radical Pro-Abortion Agenda Makes Doug Kmiec A Useful Idiot

Doug Kmiec’s name is going to come up over and over and over again during the next few months. Most notably because he somehow convinced himself and his followers that Barack Obama and the Democrats would make good on a promise to make abortion as rare as possible. Unfortunately, the actions of Obama and the applause he recieved from his fellow leftists shows that Kmiec and his ilk had simply been used to get votes and are now best described as “useful idiots.”

Sound harsh? I don’t think so. No more harsh than the Dems who so snidely sang “Hey, hey, goodbye” to President Bush at the inauguration of Obama. No, no more harsh than that.

Anyway, Obama’s first act of slapping Kmiec in the face was accomplished yesterday when he overturned the Mexico City Policy that forbade the use of federal funds for abortions overseas. Now, money that could be used to help Americans is being sent overseas to end the lives of unborn children and we taxpayers get to pay for it.

Obama ordered the repeal of what has been dubbed the Mexico City Policy. The rule has prohibited international family planning organizations from receiving federal funds unless they agree not to perform or counsel for abortion or lobby in order to liberalize the pro-life policies of foreign governments. … Southern Baptist ethics leader Richard Land and other pro-life advocates decried Obama’s order. “President Obama was the most radically pro-choice candidate of a major party in American history and pledged to Planned Parenthood that he would never back down on this issue,” Land said. “Unfortunately, his executive order overturning the Mexico City Policy may just be the first step in his fulfillment of that campaign pledge to his radical pro-abortion supporters. “With his action today, American taxpayers’ money once again will be used in part to fund abortions that end the lives of our fellow human beings in other countries,” he said.

And Doug Kmiec convinced millions of pro-life Catholics that this wouldn’t happen, that Obama and the Dems would respect their pro-life positions.

Indiana Lawmaker Calls For Planned Parenthood Defunding After Video Exposés

This is yet another story you will not hear about from NBC, ABC, CBS or CNN nor will you read about it on the front page of the Washington Post or New York Times.

We all know that Planned Parenthood of Indiana openly defied Indiana law by counseling a girl whom they believed to be only 13 years old to lie about the age of the man whom they believed was 31 years old and had gotten her pregnant. In fact, it happened at two different Planned Parenthood clinics on the same day and the actions of the PP staff in each case were almost identical.

Now, an Indiana State Representative has called for Planned Parenthood to be defunded for their efforts at circumventing Indiana State law. Rep. Jakie Walorski has written a letter to to Attorney General Steve Carter and Social Services Secretary Mitch Roob asking for an investigation into Planned Parenthood.

From Life Site News:

“Seeing these events occur at two different locations in Indiana and seeing 3 different employees react in virtually the same manner, showing a blatant disregard for all Indiana laws pertaining to protecting minors from sexual abuse, today, I called for the ‘defunding’ of Planned Parenthood of Indiana,” said Walorski in a statement released yesterday. Walorski also asked the Indiana’s Social Services to suspend Medicaid funding. “This story has flown into the national spotlight because of the blatant disregard for Indiana’s law regarding the protection of minors,” Walorski said. … “It is unacceptable for this pattern of behavior to be happening at two different Planned Parenthood clinics, in different parts of the State; therefore, I believe we must look out for the safety of Hoosier minors in this State and proceed with the full investigation of Planned Parenthood of Indiana.” Indiana Right to Life is coupling Walorski’s call with its own appeal to Marion County Prosecutor Carl Brizzi to immediately launch an investigation into Marion County Planned Parenthood offices to determine if child sexual abuse is being reported as required by Indiana law.

Planned Parenthood has no excuse for what they did in these videos. Even if Lila Rose wasn’t really thirteen years old, the Planned Parenthood staffers believed she was only thirteen and mostly likely acted as they were trained to act in such a case.

And as I wrote earlier, you won’t see this in Old Media.

SECOND Indiana Planned Parenthood Hides Rape Of 13-Year-Old

Finding it once may lead some to suspect that an event recorded at Planned Parenthood in Bloomington, Indiana during which a staffer counseled a “13-year-old” girl to hide the fact that she was a victim of statutory rape was nothing more than a isolated incident meriting only the firing of the staffer involved.

But finding it again at a separate clinic in a separate video but with astonishingly similar solutions to the problem the “13-year-old” girl is facing means that it is more than just an isolated incident and may very well be policy taught to Planned Parenthood staffers, not just in Indiana but nationwide.

If nothing else, it is certainly worthy of investigation to see just how many laws Planned Parenthood is willing to break in order to get an abortion done and how many rapists and child molesters that Planned Parenthood wants to see let go. Remember that Planned Parenthood makes money everytime they get to kill an unborn child.

Watch this video of yet another Planned Parenthood counselor trying to hide a statutory rape and coaching the girl on how to get an abortion without her parents’ knowledge. This video was recorded in Indianapolis, Indiana on the same day as the video recorded in Bloomington.

This is your tax dollars at work. Planned Parenthood gets money from the Federal Government and uses it to ensure that rapists and child molesters get away without having to face any consequences for their crimes. What is worse, the rapists and molesters are free to stike again, all courtesy of the money that the government confiscates from your paycheck.

Pro-Abortion Groups Issue Marching Orders For Obama Administration

Despite the obvious unethical behavior of groups like Planned Parenthood that coach 13-year-old girls on how to hide the sex crimes committed against them, pro-abortion groups have issued their instructions to Barack Obama. Given that the Obama transition team has posted the memo on-line, it looks as though they are going to follow these orders to the letter.

Steven Ertelt of Life Site News has this:

A coalition of dozens of pro-abortion groups have issued a 55-page memorandum and the web site for the Barack Obama transition team posted it online. The new memo from groups like Planned Parenthood and NARAL gives Obama his marching orders for the next four years.

What do the orders include? Douglas Johnson of National Right to Life notes the following:

“The pro-abortion lobby has presented its radical abortion agenda to the Obama Administration in a single tidy 55-page package — even including the exact language of presidential orders that these lobbying groups want Obama to sign,” he explained. “The groups instruct the Obama Administration that it should propose repeal of the Hyde Amendment, and include an abortion mandate in a ‘health care reform’ bill, within the first 100 days. Longer-term goals include the so-called ‘Freedom of Choice Act’ and packing the federal courts with judges who are pre-committed to vote with the pro-abortion side,” Johnson added. The memo calls for Obama to strike all limits on taxpayer funded abortion in various circumstances. “The President’s budget should strike language restricting abortion funding for (i) Medicaid-eligible women and Medicare beneficiaries (Hyde amendment); (ii) federal employees and their dependents (FEHB program); (iii) residents of the District of Columbia; (iv) Peace Corps volunteers; (v) Native-American women; and (vi) women in federal prisons,” it says.

In other words, the pro-abortion lobby wants to use abortion as a means of birth control rather than teaching responsibility on the part of potential parents. That even includes defunding abstinence training programs.

The memo urges Obama to take other actions like putting together a federal health care plan that covers abortion, reduce abstinence education funding, and pull down information from federal web sites that talks about the medical and mental health problems women suffer after abortions. It also calls on Obama to only appoint pro-abortion judges to the Supreme Court and lower federal courts. The memo includes the actual text Obama should use for Executive Orders and Presidential Memorandums, legislative language changes, new regulatory initiatives, and a list of judicial vacancies. Johnson says pro-life advocates have a clear list of what they will need to oppose immediately after Obama takes office and he urges all pro-life advocates to get involved immediately to stop these proposals.

The pro-abortion lobby also called for more funding for Planned Parenthood despite the unethical and illegal behavior that Planned Parenthood routinely engages in and the fact that Planned Parnethood has turned into a franchise abortion mill with an annual income of over $1 billion. I’m pretty sure that money could be better used in medical research to cure diseases rather than killing innocent, unborn children.

Writing for the Washington Times, Victor Morton has some more information about the video, how it was produced and what the various responses have been:

Planned Parenthood of Indiana has suspended a nurse after the release of an undercover videotape showing her coaching a supposed 13-year-old on how to duck Indiana’s laws about parental consent on abortion and the reporting of child sex abuse. The videotape shows Lila Rose, the president of a university pro-life group and a brunette, posing as a blond 13-year-old girl named “Brianna” and telling the Planned Parenthood nurse at the clinic in Bloomington, Ind., that she is pregnant by a 31-year-old man. … The nurse, who is referred to on the video as “Diana” but whose face has been blurred, knew neither that the session was being taped nor that “Brianna” really was Miss Rose, a 20-year-old pro-life activist at the University of California at Los Angeles. Miss Rose told The Washington Times on Thursday that this footage is only part of an ongoing project with many examples of such conduct. Her group and other student pro-lifers have released tapes of similar counseling. Indiana is not one of 12 states that restricts or prohibits surreptitious taping.

Lila Rose is certainly one courageous and resourceful young lady. Her efforts at exposing Planned Parenthood for what it really is are among the most admirable journalistic endeavors I have seen in a long, long time.

Planned Parenthood of Indiana quickly suspended “Diana” without pay on Wednesday and vowed an investigation. “We are deeply concerned about the content of the video. … The apparent actions of the employee would be in violation of our strict policies and procedures,” Betty Cockrum, the state chapter’s president, said in a statement. “A thorough internal investigation of this matter has begun. … Further disciplinary action will be taken if warranted by the investigation.”

I, for one, find it very hard to believe that Planned Parenthood didn’t already know this was happening. I mean, this is the same organization that is selling gift certificates so that women can celebrate Christmas by killing their unborn children.

This response is a little more disturbing:

Indiana law requires health care providers and others to report a sexual act between an adult and a person younger than 14 to law enforcement or the Department of Child Protective Services. Not reporting such an act is a misdemeanor punishable under state law by a maximum of 180 days in jail and a $1,000 fine. A city spokesman said Thursday that the Bloomington City Police is not investigating the clinic or the nurse for suspicions of violating the statutory-rape notification law, but is beefing up security around the facility to protect it from any backlash. “There’s no investigation taking place, but they have stepped up patrols around the area,” said Danny Lopez, communications director for the city of Bloomington. Patrols have been stepped up in case anybody has a strong reaction to the situation, but he said there have been no problems.

You read that right. The police are not investigating Planned Parenthood for violating the law or for attempting to cover-up a case of statutory rape. They are protecting the abortion clinic.

That makes no sense whatsoever. Given the fact that there have been no problems with security at the clinic, why not investigate this clinic and all Planned Parenthood clinics since they have more than enough probable cause to do so and would be acting in good faith? To do otherwise is an admission that they are willing to look the other way whenever a young girl is raped.

But, I really like what the Mona Lisa Project has been doing and all of the corruption they’ve uncovered about pro-abortion groups:

The Mona Lisa Project, she added in a statement, “demonstrates how quickly the abortion industry’s disrespect for unborn children becomes disregard for all humans. Planned Parenthood offers no solutions for the victim of statutory rape – they give her an abortion and a bag of condoms and sent her straight back into the arms of the abuser.” … This incident also is not the first time surreptitious taping by Miss Rose and other pro-life college students has embarrassed Planned Parenthood. • Last month, Students for Life of America released a video taken over the summer of a college student posing as a 15-year-old girl telling staffers at a Charlotte, N.C., clinic about emergency contraception because of unprotected sex with her mother’s 30-something live-in boyfriend. The Planned Parenthood staffers acknowledge this as statutory rape. Students for Life filed a state Public Records Request that showed that Planned Parenthood never reported anything to authorities. • Last year, Live Action Films students posed as racists to tape phone calls in which several Planned Parenthood chapters accept donations on condition that the money be used to abort blacks. In one call, Autumn Kersey, vice president of marketing for Planned Parenthood of Idaho, is told that the caller has been hurt by affirmative action and “we just think, the less black kids out there the better.” Miss Kersey nervously laughs and says “understandable.” The Idaho chapter later called accepting the money “a serious mistake.” • Also in 2007, Miss Rose videotaped a Planned Parenthood staffer in California telling her, while posing as a 15-year-old pregnant by a 23-year-old boyfriend, to lie about her age so the staffer wouldn’t have to report anything under statutory rape laws. “You could say 16,” the worker helpfully suggests. “Just figure out a birth date that works. And I don’t know anything.” Planned Parenthood responded by threatening a lawsuit over the surreptitious taping.

Not only is Planned Parenthood enabling rapists to prey on young girls, they are apparently racists as well. But that makes sense since one of Margaret Sanger’s original intentions for Planned Parenthood was to eliminate the African-American population.

My hat is off to Lila Rose, the Mona Lisa Project, Live Actions Films and the Students for Life of America. They have taken on an issue that Old Media is diliberately ignoring. Further, they are exposing corruption and criminal activity while Old Media has been trying to hide it.

Planned Parenthood Caught On Video Covering Up The Rape Of A 13-Year-Old

If there was any question about how dishonorable, dishonest and downright evil Planned Parenthood is, all doubts have been erased thanks to a video released by LiveActionFilms.org. The video was taken as part of an undercover investigation of Planned Parenthood in Indiana.

In the video, you will see and hear a Planned Parenthood nurse coach a 13-year-old girl on how to cover-up her own abuse and then give her instructions on how the girl’s 31-year-old “boyfriend” can take her across state lines without parental knowledge or consent to have an abortion done in Illinois.

Old Media has shown no interest in covering stories like this despite the grave concerns such stories would cause any parent.

What if that girl had been taken to Illinois by her “boyfriend” without the parent’s knowledge and something had gone wrong with the procedure? Who gets held responsible? Planned Parenthood clearly doesn’t give a damn about the parents or the fact that they are letting a rapist escape justice. The only thing they care about is killing another unborn child and if it can be done without the knowledge or consent of the girl’s parents, then that’s just bonus for them.

These are the reasons why we need to have parental notification laws and why we need to have abortionists give full disclosure to facilitate informed consent of the procedure. As things stand right now, Planned Parenthood can give a rapist a “get out of jail free” card which means more rapes in the future. And abortionists can get away scott free whenever they kill a young woman which means more deaths in the future.

Voter’s Remorse: Did Pro-Life Catholics (Especially Douglas Kmiec) Get Punked By Obama?

I think it is pretty clear that the answer is “Yes.” Obama lied to them and they believed it. Now, many pro-life Catholics are heading into Advent wondering why they had been so eaily led astray by the charismatic Obama and wondering how they had been convinced to support a man who has almost no Christian values in his life at all.

They were lead astray by people like Doug Kmiec who wrote, “While no papal instruction will ever condone the “right to choose,” the church does ask for a consistent and realistic defense of life that actually takes steps to reduce the incidence of the practice, not just condemns it. … Beyond life issues, an audaciously hope-filled Democrat like Obama is a Catholic natural.”

Unfortunately, Doug forgets that he is not a member of the body that makes policy for the Catholic Church in the United States. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops does that. And in their meeting in Baltimore, Maryland in early November, the Bishops drew a line in the sand concerning abortion, Catholic Hospitals and the Freedom Of Choice Act (FOCA).

You see, Barack Obama promised Planned Parenthood that he would sign FOCA into law first thing after taking office, the moment it hits his desk. Among the provisions of this law are: Forcing Catholic Hospitals into doing abortions and completely removing any requirment for informed consent (i.e. disclosing possible complications of the procedures) and any parental notification. (Without parental notification or informed consent, it would be entirely possible that a teen-aged girl could get an abortion and develop complications as a result of the procedure but her parents would never find out who or what caused them and they would not be able to seek compensation from those responsible.)

Right now, there are freedom-of-conscious laws in 46 states that prohibit the government from forcing Catholic Hospitals to perform morally objectionable prcedures. Doug Kmiec and other pro-life Catholics who supported Obama were betting on Barack Obama and the Democrats being respectful of those laws. It was a sucker’s bet.

As the general public begins to gain access to more information that the news outlets deliberately suppressed during the campaign, people like Doug Kmiec are going to be made to look like fools. It is already showing at Slate with one of Doug’s peers, Melinda Henneberger who writes:

I have high hopes for President Obama, I was so looking forward to dancing at this party. Yet, although abortion was not a major issue in the race, the pro-life argument that he was the candidate most likely to decrease the need for—and number of—abortions did make it easier for many Catholics to cast their votes for him. I think we should hold him to that commitment now. At the very moment when Obama and his party have won the trust of so many Catholics who favor at least some limits on abortion, I hope he does not prove them wrong. I hope he does not make a fool out of that nice Doug Kmiec, who led the pro-life charge on his behalf. I hope he does not spit on the rest of us—though I don’t take him for the spitting sort—on his way in the door. I hope that his appointment of Ellen Moran, formerly of EMILY’s List, as his communications director is followed by the appointment of some equally good Democrats who hold pro-life views. By supporting and signing the current version of FOCA, Obama would reignite the culture war he so deftly sidestepped throughout this campaign. This is a fight he just doesn’t need at a moment when there is no shortage of other crises to manage.

As noted above, Doug Kmiec led his flock (i.e. his pro-life readers) astray and the Catholic Bishops are exposing him and others like him by openly calling into question Barack Obama’s stance on forcing Catholic Hospitals to perform morally objectionable procedures.

Henneberger’s column also shows how Barack Obama and the Dems in general have no respect at all for anyone who thinks outside of the leftist philosophy of the Democratic National Committee. Not one ounce of respect, even if those people cast votes in the Dem column.

Those pro-lifers who listened to people like Doug Kmiec and voted for Obama got punked. And they are starting to realize the hard truth about it. I can only guess at how much it hurts them to see that truth. But no amount of confession or penance can ever allow them to go back and change their vote.
