SEIU = Strum Abteilung (SA Stormtroopers)

So, how would you feel if a mob of 500 rabble-rousers surrounded your house, blocked your door, trampled your lawn and terrorized your children?

And how would it make you feel to know that the police department of Washington D.C. gave this mob an escort and the police departments of Maryland did not do their duty of protecting the innocent and upholding the law?

From Investor’s Business Daily:

On May 16, Washington, D.C., police escorted 14 busloads full of Service Employees International Union (SEIU) members at least part of the way to storm the Chevy Chase, Md., home of Bank of America’s deputy legal counsel, Greg Baer.

Some 500 protestors affiliated with SEIU and their allies in the community organizing group National Political Action (NPA) trampled his lawn, blocked his doorway to his home and screamed “greed.” Legally, it was burglary, trespassing and, possibly, assault.

But Maryland cops didn’t enforce the law. And Baer had to brave the insult-hurling mob alone to rescue his 14-year old son who, home alone, had locked himself in the bathroom in fear.

Yep, Adolf Hitler and Ernst Rohm would be proud of the SEIU and their Democrat supporters. As for the Dems, you will not hear one little peep of protest concerning this barbaric behavior becasue the Dems take a great deal of money from SEIU contributions.

And somehow, the Dems want you to believe that the Tea Party protesters are the violent, lawless ones?

Star Parker: Government Health Care Plantation Looms

columnistsstarparker

I love reading Star Parker’s columns. She seems to have a way of looking at things, not necessarily from an opposite direction, but just enough of a different direction that things tend to become clearer. Her latest column concerning socialized medicine does just that.

From Town Hall:

Rather than moving dysfunctional America off the welfare state, as we did with welfare reform in 1996, we are now moving the free, functioning, and once prosperous part of our nation onto the welfare state.

Bills out of committees in both the House and the Senate contain all the elements of President Obama’s dream to get as many Americans onto the government health care plantation as possible.

That’s right. Instead of getting people off of a dependence on the government, socialized health care is an attempt to get people dependent on the government.

More:

We’ve got creation of the new government run insurance plan that supposedly will create new competition. We’ve got fines on employers who don’t provide insurance and fines on individuals who don’t buy it.

And we’ve got the trillions of dollars in new spending to subsidize insurance purchases for low to middle income Americans and expand Medicaid to get more low income Americans into it.

And, of course, we’ve got the massive new government bureaucracy to oversee it all.

You read that right. More fines and more taxes. Health care reform was supposed to make things less expensive but the fines and taxes are going to make it more expensive for us. And why is Obama so hell bent on fining someone who chooses not to buy health insurance?

Here’s some more insight you won’t read about in Old Media:

Obama continues to tell the many millions of Americans currently insured through their employer not to worry, that “If you like your health care plan you can keep that…”

But we know this is a slight of hand. Many employers will gladly pay the fine and purge their employees into the government plan. And how will private plans possibly compete with the government plan when politicians can reach into taxpayer pockets anytime they want to keep on subsidizing it?

The Lewin Group estimates that a hundred twenty million Americans may be driven into the government plan.

120 million Americans. (140 if you count the 20 million illegals who will be eligible for taxpayer-funded health care.) And how are we going to pay for health care for all of them? New taxes. If you are one of the top 5% earners who happens to live in the state of Maryland, then you will be paying over 50 cents on every dollar you work to earn if the new taxes to pay for other people’s health care goes through.

And about that promise to keep private insurance companies “honest?” Let’s look at the government’s track record on that:

Harvard’s Malcom Sparrow, a specialist in health-care fraud, estimates annual Medicare fraud at $85 billion.

The Government Accountability Office estimates Medicaid fraud at around $33 billion annually.

So that’s $120 billion a year in government health care fraud! This is who will keep private companies “honest?”

This socialized health care plan is a disaster waiting to happen, just as it happened in every other country it has been tried in.

We need to stop it before it wrecks the entire health system.

Maryland National Guard Issues Warning About TEA Party Protestors

The Obama administration has come forward and said that they do not want Islamic terrorists to be called “terrorists” and that we should listen and learn in an effort to better understand them.

But this same administration regards all those who disagree with it’s policies as “potential terrorists.” The administration has yet to distance itself from a DHS report that regarded all Veterans as potential right-wing extremists.

What’s wrong with this picture?

Why does Obama have such harsh words for peaceful, freedom loving Americans and then sits down and politiely listens to thugs and tyrants like Daniel Ortega and Hugo Chavez as they insult and demean the United States of America?

One year ago, I could not even imagine that our own government would turn on us like this. Today, it infuriates me that this has become reality.

Read the following excerpt from David Noss at Southern Maryland Online:

A document issued by the Maryland National Guard on April 9 warns full-time Guard personnel to be aware of threats from local citizens protesting income taxes during grass roots events known as TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Parties — one of which was held on Solomons Island March 22. The Guard document, “Planned TEA Party Protests (FPCON Advisory 09-004),” was believed to have first been revealed by a blog called The Jawa Report. A call today to Col. Kohler, Md. National Guard Public Affairs in Baltimore, confirmed the authenticity of the document. The document was officially classified as UNCLASSIFIED/FOR OFFICIAL USE ONLY (U/FOUO).

The Guard document follows closely on the heels of a Dept. of Homeland Security document, released on April 7 that profiles American citizens who are concerned about gun rights and the “current economic and political climate” as potential rightwing extremists and domestic terrorists. The document is titled “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment” and was recently profiled in a Washington Times article.

Yet another Homeland Security document from the Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC), leaked to the press in March, profiles vocal supporters of Ron Paul, Bob Barr and Chuck Baldwin as potential domestic terrorists. The so-called MIAC document also cautions police to be aware of citizens carrying a copy of the U.S. Constitution, labeling the document as “political paraphernalia.”

The Constitution is “politcal paraphernalia?” who the hell came up with that analysis? Josef Stalin?

So, what were the orders from the government to the Maryland National Guard regarding the TEA Parties held on April 15?

In case you just simply skimmed through the whole thing (I admit that military memos are a long a boring read) I’d like to point your attention to Paragraph #5 which states: “POC is Antiterrorism Program Coordinator.”

Barack Obama is bending over backward to kiss the rear-ends of jack-booted thugs like Chavez, Ortega and Castro and is trying to grant real terrorists Constitutional rights that could get them released from prison, but he refers to Americans who are exercising their First Amendment rights of freedom of Speech and Freedom of Assembly as possible terrorists?

Given that all of the demonstrations were peaceful and without incident, you can see how out-of-touch Barack Obama and the leftist controlled government is with reality on this one.

A Couple Of Stories About Race-Baiting And Politics

Having grown up in Prince George’s County, Maryland (known as “P.G. County” to us natives) I am very dismayed and shamed by this report. You would think that a pre-dominantly black county like P.G. would have grown beyond this sort of thing, especially after helping to elect America’s first black President.

From News Channel 8:

A Prince George’s Community College student says she was driven from class because of her political beliefs.

Gloria Alfonzo says she endured racial taunts and slurs because she supported John McCain’s presidential campaign.

Her problems, she said, began with an assignment to write about the merits of Barack Obama. When she announced she differed with Obama, Alfonzo says her African-American classmates subjected her to an onslaught of racial hatred.

“I was frightened,” she recalled. “It was horrible; it was extremely horrible. I was a little scared.”

Alfonzo said all of her classmates — except for herself and one other — were black, as was the instructor, Ayanna Watson. She says the teacher demanded to know whether she is a Republican.

No mention of this on the local news affiliates of NBC Channel 4, ABC Channel 7 or CBS Channel 9. But you have to wonder what the coverage would have been like if Alfonzo were black and her classmates were white.

McCain Supporter Claims She Suffered Racial Taunts In Class

And up in Minnesota, an attack on the Augsburg College campus was certainly politically motivated and possibly racially motivated as well.

Annie Grossman was attacked outside of her dorm after being confronted by four black women.

From Paul Walsh at the Star Tribune:

An Augsburg College student and Sarah Palin supporter from Alaska was beaten on election night while walking to her dorm and was called a racist by a group of four young women because she had on a McCain/Palin presidential campaign button, authorities and the victim said.

Under a skyway connecting the two buildings, four women “bigger than I am” came up to her, she said.

“One approached me and got in my face and called me racist because I had the pin on. That really ticked me off, but I kind of left it alone because she was so much bigger than I am,” said Grossmann. She is 5 feet 2 and weighs 120 pounds, and played boys high school hockey in Alaska. “The girls in the background were just a little bigger than me. They were mocking me from the sidelines.

“I didn’t say anything. … This one [bigger] girl grabbed me by the shoulders and was holding me. After about five minutes, I just wanted to get out of there.”

Grossmann, who is white, said she told the women, who were black, “You guys don’t even know me. There’s no reason to think I’m racist.”

At that point, she said, she pushed the bigger one in the group, and “she punched me, and the back of my head hit a brick wall.”

Again, what if the assailants had been white and Grossman had been black? Would the Mass Media be this silent on the whole thing?
