Apparently, Harry Reid (D-NV) was against amnesty before he was for it. Perhaps the idea of a millions-strong voting bloc that was pro-leftist/liberal/socialist/Democrat was just too much for him to resist. Even so, what he said on the issue back in 1993 is still very true today.
